Grand Lake Farmers Market at Splash Pad Park.
The rebirth and revitalization of Oakland continues. The renovation of Splash Pad Park has given the Grand Lake District a new town square. Centrally located at the foot of Interstate 580 overpass between Grand and Lakeshore avenues the park is now home to the Grand Lake Farmers Market. Fruitvale Village Opens For Business
The Fruitvale Village Shopping Center is now open for business. Conveniently located at the Fruitvale Bart Station it's home to many condominiums, restaurants, community resource centers, a library and a variety of other stores. The city hopes this is the first of many redevelopment projects that will help to revitalize the Fruitvale District.
